Group Fitness Class Descriptions

CYCLE

Each class is 45 minutes on a stationary bike, simulating an outdoor terrain. Your workout is set to intense, energizing and inspiring music. You will be guided through a warm-up, flat roads, hills, and a cool-down. You are in charge of your own resistance, but motivated to test your limits.

PILATES

Each class is either 45 or 60 minutes, concentrating on  strength, flexibility, toning, and endurance. This class works the full body, especially the core. Each movement is low-impact, slow, and controlled. You will be introduced to various exercises, with modifications available for each and every person.

Be prepared to feel refreshed and revitalized after your workout.

BARRE

Each class is either 45 or 60 minutes, with a specific concentration on postural strength and alignment. The barre is used to advance the flexibility of the lower body, and to strengthen every muscle in the lower body, as well. Think of your quads, hamstrings, thighs and booties as the major focus of your barre session. 

​You will learn to embrace the shake!

HIIT

Each class is 45 minutes. The whole body will be worked in your session, but on a very specific timer. Each HIIT set involves Exercise A, and Exercise B. You repeat Exercise A & B four times, totaling eight rounds, Each round typically lasts anywhere from 20-30 seconds. In between exercises A & B, you will have a 10 second recovery period. At the end of your eight rounds and final recovery period, you will endure a one minute challenge move. In a typical session, anywhere from 4-5 HIIT sets can be completed. 

If you have never taken a HIIT class before, get ready to sweat, tone, and have FUN while doing it. 

BOX

Each class is 45 minutes. This session focusses in on using your own body weight, and holding 2-3 pound weights throughout each boxing move (or holding no weights, as they are totally optional!) to truly give your arms the best burn out there. Set to the beat of the music, you will be guided through different boxing and cardio kickboxing sequences that will tone your upper body, challenge your lower body, and build your endurance. You will learn different boxing terms, as well as boxing techniques, and you will apply those techniques to better your form and overall stamina.

This class is suitable for all levels - there is definitely no boxing or cardio kickboxing experience required!

BOOTCAMP

Each class is 45 minutes, and each class has a different focus. Some sessions will concentrate on a full body workout, while others will concentrate on either the upper body or the lower body. Cardio is incorporated into every workout, varying from jumps, to sprints, to planks. The upper body focus will be on chest, back, and shoulder muscles, right down to triceps and biceps. The lower body focus will be on quad, hamstring, and thigh muscles, and especially your booties. The full body focus will not only incorporate all of the above, but also incorporate the core.

Be prepared to get that heart rate up while shredding fat and toning muscle!
